A complete world in my garden ... and beyond
General presentation of the Web site

A lot of wildlife photos (particularly birds and butterflies) in their natural environment.
These pages are my personal translation of the original pages in French.
Feel free to inform me about any mistake as English is not my native language.

Presentation    [Top]

This site shows my photos about wildlife and nature.
It does not pretend to be an exhaustive list of species nor a scientific database.

it includes :
  • My personal observations about the curiosity of Wildlife and Nature starting by what's in my garden (about 20 miles western of Paris) and during my trips.

  • Photos in real-life situation, doing my best to preserve the animals (no capture, never too close of a nest to endanger the brood ...).

  • Identification of the species and some basic informations gathered from books or other web sites.

  • Presentation of all this on this web site for my own fun and, I hope, for the fun of anybody who will display these pages.

I will do my best but do not expect a very quick answer.I am rather following the rythm of the seasons than the rythm of a gigahertz clock.

Dedication    [Top]

  • To my parents who always kept an open eye on the amazing particularities of wildlife and nature.
  • To my spouse and children who endure my long waitings near the bird feeding dish. But they are now able to identify Blue Tits or Nuthatches.
  • To my colleagues who are seeing a lot of animals on my computer as soon as the screensaver activates.
  • To my running friends who, during marathon training, see me stop before the clock alarm to admire a Great Crested Grebe nuptial display, a Swallowtail butterfly or Stink Bugs.
  • And to anybody who takes time to look and is filled with wonder.
