Symphlebia neja shows orange yellow thorax and fore wings with greyish brown markings.
The fore wings are marked with large dark spots in the ante medial area.
You can distinguish a post-medial row of large round greyish spots outlined with reddish brown. The third spot starting from the costal edge is elongated towards the margin.
Then, there is a row of small round submarginal spots located between the veins and one row of small marginal spots located on the veins.
The hind wings are white, almost translucent, with a yellow area next to the inner edge.
