Rifargia myconos has white wings marbled with greyish and brownish. There is a dark brown stripe at the back of the head. The fore wings bear a small black spot on the inner edge, not far from the anal angle. The two black spots seem to merge in a single well visible spot when the two wings are held one near the other on the upper side of the body. There is a large brownish grey patch at the apex of the fore wings. The hind wings are whitish with a broad grey margin. |

I have shot this picture at Roura, at Camps Patawa, during a light trap night session. The dark brown stripe at the back of the head is only visible on the lateral sides here. The upper part is hidden by the thorax hairs pointing forwards as the head is held down. |
