Raglius alboacuminatus (Goeze, 1778)

Scientific name: Raglius alboacuminatus (Goeze, 1778)
Common name:
French name:
Order: Heteroptera
Family: Rhyparochromidae
Wingspan : 5.4 to 6.3 mm.
Biotope: Wastelands, forest edges, clearings, embankments with a preference for limestone or sandy soils, in tall grass, under the bark of trees in winter.
Geographic area: Europe, Africa, northern Asia, North America.
Observation period : All year round, Raglius alboacuminatus winters as an adult. Laying takes place from the late April to mid-August. The adults of the new generation start to emerge late June.

The Rhyparochromidae family was recently separated from the Lygaeidae family. The seed bugs of the Lygaeidae family are more red and black while those of the Rhyparochromidae family are more brown and black.
Raglius alboacuminatus, oval in shape, has a black head, front of the pronotum and scutellum.
The apical third of the first antennal article and the entire second article are yellowish brown to reddish brown, articles 3 and 4 are black.
The posterior part of the pronotum is reddish brown with a white spot followed by a large black spot on the lateral edges. The legs are orange with a little black at the apex of the femurs and tibias.
The rest of the body is generally reddish brown with a white mark at the tip of each coria and at the apex of the membranous wings.
There is a dark-coloured funera form that appears almost completely black with white markings.
Raglius alboacuminatus feeds on seeds.
Raglius confuseus is more beige and black in colour. Other species of the Raglius genus have light-coloured lateral margins of the pronotum throughout their entire length while they are black on the anterior part of the pronotum of Raglius alboacuminatus.
The Beosus genus has the width of the head (including eyes) greater than the length of the anterior edge of the pronotum, which is not the case of the Raglius genus. In addition Beosus maritimus has small white spots on the scutellum.
The Rhyparochromus genus does not present a large black spot on the lateral-posterior corners of the pronotum.

Raglius alboacuminatus
Given the pattern of colours and the head being narrower than the front margin of the pronotum (I will take a top view next time) I think we have Raglius alboacuminatus here.
