Manicocoris rufipes is a rather large Assassin Bug which shows two strong black fore legs. The legs of the two other pairs are a uniform red colour.
The head and the thorax are black. The head and the prothorax are about the same length.
The head is narrow with two moderately prominent eyes. The neck is long and cylindrical.
These Assassin Bugs collect resin from trees to help on the capture of bees of the Triga genus on which they feed.

Manicocoris rufipes
I have shot this picture while walking along the Roche-Bateau footpath next to the small village of Saül.
The rather high position on the trunk did not permit me to shoot a close-up picture with a good view of the head and thorax.
