Wingspan : 6 -7 mm.
Biotope: On the leaves of cruciferous plants.
Geographic area: Palaearctic region (North Africa, Europe, Asia, missing in the northern part of Scandinavia and in other extreme northern regions).
Observation period : All year long.

The Crucifer Shield Bug has a black and lengthy head.
The body is black and flat with a blue or green metallic sheen. It shows marks which can be red or white on both sexes.
There is a longitudinal band in the middle of the pronotum, an oval-shaped mark on the tip of the scutellum and an oval-shaped mark on each elytron.
Juveniles are paler and more yellowish.
There is one or two broods per year. There are 5 moults to reach the adult state.
The Crucifer Shield Bug over winters as an adult.

Crucifer Shield Bug (Eurydema oleracea)
I think that this juvenile Crucifer Shield Bug is at the last instar just needing a last moult to become an adult.
I have observed it next to another Crucifer Shield Bug at the adult state.
