The upper side of the wings and the upper side of the body of Eumorpha phorbas are green and without any contrasted markings except two dark green dorsal stripes on the sides of the thorax and abdomen. The hind wings are orange and black. The underside of the body and the underside of the wings are completely yellow. Eumorpha labruscae has black and blue hind wings and it does not show any dark dorsal stripe. |

I have shot this picture at Roura, at Camps Patawa, during a light trap night session. Having no good view of the hind wings, the identification of this species is based on the dark stripes on the sides of the thorax and abdomen. |
