The fore wings of the Ferruginous Eulia Moth show reddish brown marks on a cream ground colour with many variations. There is a prominent tuft of dark brown hairs at the back of the head. On the fore wings you can most often notice a dark brown basal area, median area and margin. The post basal area is paler, especially close to the costal edge which is a pale cream colour. The colour of the post median stripe may vary from pale cream to dark brown. The hind wings are greyish with a white fringe. Eulia ministrana is attracted to light. Eulia ministrana over winters as a caterpillar. |

This moth, entered into the house, is not in a very good shape. The tuft of hairs behind the head has almost disappeared and the tips of the wings have lost the scales then their colour. |
