The Eulepidotis genus includes 85 species which are almost all found in the Neotropical region.
Eulepidotis dominicata shows white fore wings crossed by a broad brown stripe running form the middle of the costal edge to the anal angle.
The outer part of the fore wings bears a large oval-shaped brown patch outlined with dark brown. The limit with the white area draws a nice curve.
The hind wings are yellowish white with a brown spot at the apex followed by a very short tail touching an orange brown patch and a tiny black eyespot.
The head is brown, the body is white.
