The Large Ringlet is a rather variable species which shows a bicolour fringe, dark brown and white.
The upper side of the wings is dark brown with a broad post discal orange band on the fore wings and on the hind wings.
The post discal band on the fore wings bears three or four eyespots with a white centre on females and often smaller on males.
The post discal band on the hind wings bears three eyespots.
The under side of the fore wings is similar to the upper side.
The under side of the hind wing is brown with a white pointed-shaped marking in the post discal area. On females, this marking is on the edge of a broad pale post discal band which is white on the costal half facing the base and very pale brown on the outer side.

Large Ringlet (Erebia euryale)
You can clearly see the bicolour fringe and, on the under side of the hind wings, a pale post discal band with a pointed extension toward the base of the wing.
So this one is a female Large Ringlet.

Erebia sp.
Telling apart butterflies of the Erebia genus requires an upper side view and an under side view. So we will stay at Erebia sp. with only this picture.
I have put this picture on the Large Ringlet page because I have observed the above specimen at about the same place. However we do not see any bicolour fringe. Notice that this butterfly is rather old and the fringe may be gone.

Erebia sp.
Other non-identified Ringlet because of the lack of an under side view.
