Host plant: Various Graminae. Caterpillars shelter inside a silken tube at the base of plants where they feed on roots. |
Eana argentana has uniform whitish to whitish grey fore wings. The hind wings are pale grey with a white fringe. There is a possible confusion with Udea rhododendronalis. Eana argentana generally lands with its wings held one over the other and, based on that, both sides are almost parallel. Udea rhododendronalis generally lands with its wings one beside the other. |
