Caterpillar: The caterpillar of the Lymantriidae family are known by their prominent "tussocks" of hairs.
Host plant:

Moths of the Desmoloma genus hold their for wings roof-like over the body when in rest. The long and hairy fore legs are outstretched forward.
The more angulous hind wings are visible on each side.
This genus is characterized by the tufts on long hairs located on the costal edge of the hind wings.

Desmoloma sp.
I have shot this picture at Roura, at Camps Patawa, during a light trap night session.
You cannot clearly see the costal edge of the hind wings but, however, I think that the Desmoloma genus is highly probable here.
I have found Desmoloma erratica, Desmoloma mollis and Desmoloma signata listed in French Guiana but I have no information to tell these species apart.
