Crocota tinctaria
I have observed this Crocota tinctaria in the mountain of Belledonne, France, at an altitude of 1700 metres.
I have only found Crocota pseudotinctaria listed in Haute-Savoie in France. My species identification is only based on this because it is impossible to tell both species apart only on picture.

I have observed several specimen of this moth while hiking in the French National Park named Parc de la Vanoise.
I have found which species it is, only 3 years later. You must never give up.

I must go back hiking in the Alps. I have made some progress in photography and I think that I am now able to get sharper pictures.
