The Cresera genus includes 14 species. Cresera ilus shows a broad pale orange yellow stripe on the vertex and on the thorax. The lateral sides are dark brown. The abdomen is red on the upper side, yellow on the under side. The fore wings are brown with yellowish spots close to the costal edge. There is a basal spot, a median spot and a submarginal spot. This last one is the largest. The costal edge is also marked by an alignment of tiny white spots outlined with dark brown. The fringe is dotted with small yellow spots on each vein. The hind wings are pinkish white. |
