Scientific name: Anaceratagallia sp. (Zachvatkin, 1946)
Common name:
French name:
Order: Hemiptera
Family: Cicadellidae
Wingspan : 2.5-4 mm.
Biotope: Grassy areas.

Leafhoppers of the Anaceratagallia genus are small, short, stocky leafhoppers of the Agalliinae subfamily.
The base of the scutellum is marked with black triangular spots which touch the lateral margins.
The forewings reach or extend beyond the tip of the abdomen. The first anal vein is brown.
The vertex has two black spots with a black or brown median streak, sometimes double.
The pronotum is marked with two black spots on the anterior edge. These spots are followed posteriorly by other spots, often brown. There is often a black median streak.
The veins of the forewings are black-brown or dark brownish.
There are darker morph males with more extensive black markings.
It is impossible to tell species apart from a simple photo. This requires an examination of the genitalia.
Leafhoppers of the Agallia genus have black spots at the base of the scutellum that do not touch the lateral margins.

Anaceratagallia sp.
All the criteria I could find to identify Leafhoppers of the Anaceratagallia genus are visible in this photo with the exception of the length of the forewings which seem a little short to me here.
I still left the identification because the brachypterous species which could lead to confusion have significantly shorter wings.
This genus includes 5 species in France, Anaceratagallia ribauti, Anaceratagallia laevis, Anaceratagallia venosa, Anaceratagallia uncigera and Anaceratagallia frisia.
