The fore wings are yellow with a large greyish patch extending from the cell to the inner edge where it reaches its larger width. This patch is thinly outlined with red and crossed by red streaks.
The base of the wing shows a small rounded spot circled with red.
The remaining part of the wings is marked with more or less dark greyish spots always circled with more or less bright reddish brown.
You can distinguish one medial row of four small rounded spots, followed by one series of larger post-medial spots, even touching each other and being darker than the previous ones.
Then, there is one row of submarginal rounded spots followed by smaller marginal spots.
The hind wings are pinkish with some white colour along the costal edge and with a yellow fringe.
