Acleris literana occurs in variable forms characterized by a pale green or whitish green ground colour with more or less numerous black and white markings. The fulvomaculana form bears some reddish spots. This general colour of the forewings provides an effective camouflage on lichens. The hind wings are very light brown. |

This small tortrix moth then went to rest on a window during the photo session. The date matches the beginning of the emergence of the annual brood. |
